Practicum day 2

Today I had practicum for the second time! This rainy weather and all the stress just had be feeling blah today and not really looking forward to going...but once I got there I cheered right up! I love love love kids! At the beginning of program they have snack so we just sat and talked with them and then we helped them with homework. I helped the same little boy as last week, he is so precious- I want to steal him (: ...but i resist. At the end of homework time I had to do a screening on a little boy- my first time ever screening someone- and he was just not having it- I was literally waiting for him to cry... he was working on his math sheet and I told him after he was done with that, I wanted to ask him some question..and he thought I was adding more work for him to do...finally I just said he could finish his homework at home and we could do my questions now. Once we got into and I was really cheering him on when he got the right answers, he didn't think it was so bad(: I had to ask him about telling time on a clock, knowing the values of coins, sorting items by color&size and stuff like that. He actually did really well. (=
After homework it was time for OT Zone!! We had the first graders today and we made clocks and played bingo w/ times ... the kids were pretty ansty and I'm not sure that they were really feelin' it but most of them hung with us and had fun! Two more weeks and then its my turn to lead group- I'm nervous/excited to be in charge!

but hallelujah am I glad it is Thursday!! woo woo. 3 hours of work tomorrow morning and then I'm heading home for the weekend (: should be a great weekend!
