hello, october

first off...today actually felt like Fall and I loved it!!!

This past weekend I headed down to JMU for Homecoming :) JMU played UofR on Saturday and got that W :)) It was a good game but we ended up leaving just before the 4th quarter bc we were freezing and it was raining =\ we went to the bookstore and I got a new hoodie- in the youth section so it was cheaper than normal.. SCORE! love being able to fit into kid clothes haha After that Jenn, Kate, Mom, Dad and I went to the dining hall on campus- ohmygosh i miss that place SO much.... oh i wish i could go to school at JMU again..hmm what can my next degree be? (JK i'm so DONE after this masters... for a while at least -not ruling out getting a PhD in the future...WAY in the future)
new Bridgforth Stadium! so pretty

new jumbotron

the Dukes coming out on the field

This morning we got up and headed to church, it was a good service but I'm SO looking forward to the new series that will start next Sunday.. the title is called "Sleeping Single in a King-sized Bed" and it's going to deal with loneliness.. which is def something I struggle with at times. Esp now that I'm seeing my friends get engaged and married...and here I am STILL single. It's hard some days...I just keep praying that I'm ready whenever God decided to put my future hubs in my life... (and of course I sometimes pray that he comes soon)
I have had this song on my mind all day....

and this song ..it gives me chills..and honestly has brought tears to my eyes before..the lyrics are just perfect and I can't wait to live it out (the 2nd verse especially :)

"I leave him sleeping as I rise early
always up before the dawn
the house is dark but i see clearly
kettle sings a morning song
bacon's frying, baby's crying
I soak up the sights and sounds
Minutes turn to days and
I wish I could slow them down..."
<3

I just need to be better at being content with this season of my life...
enjoying these days and living up the single life while I can
(gotta love pinterest)

I bet that is going to be a really good series! And that BA song melts my heart. SO precious. I know this time of life must be hard... but, I know that you've got so much great things going on for you in THIS moment!
